Doula turned Birth Educator and Mama
After attending many births in birth centres and hospitals as a Doula within the system, witnessing intervention after intervention, it dawned me that something in the current birth paradigm was inherently broken; not women, not birth but normalised systemic practice.
I now work with women all over the world choosing to birth as the authority, to experience intervention free, unmedicalised birth, autonomously and powerfully. The women and partners who take our course are informed, prepared and grounded to make the right choices for them, and 94% of our families experience natural birth vs. the UK average of 57% (UK average for first time mothers: 33%).
I chose to have a pregnancy and birth outside of the medical system, giving birth unassisted in January of 2023. It was the most incredible moment feeling my baby take her first breath in my arms, undisturbed, oxytocin flowing.
